Pretty for a £1!

Image
Hi Guys! Hope you have all had a fabulous christmas and got everything you wanted :) So, I went out to hit the Boxing Day sales and found myself drawn to the pound shop beauty sections! I had a good rummage and this is what I found :) Poundland. TOWIE Paparazzi Eye Bling Lashes. These lashes are GORGEOUS. They have a subtle line of glitter across the lash line that makes your eyes really stand out. The lashes are nice and thick, the only downside is that the glue isn't brilliant, so I just use my own Eyelure one. W7 Secret Concealer Kit. This little pot comes with two shades of concealer and a setting powder. The cream itself is a little thin for me so I found I had to put a lot on to get the coverage I needed, however if you only needed light coverage this little kit would be fantastic! NYX Diamond Sparkle Lipstick. I was so excited to find a NYX lipstick for a pound! I have always wanted to try this brand so I grabbe

Smoothly Does It - Pressed Powder

Image
Hi Guys! Here is another review of a Poundland Make Up Gallery product. The Smoothly Does It Pressed Powder. This product comes in 4 colours (Translucent, Sand, Natural Beige and Honey Beige). I purchased the Translucent one as I have really fair skin.  I apply it over the top of my foundation if I am going on a night out, or I just apply it on its own during the day for just a nice light coverage. It goes on beautifully with a large brush, and it has a smell that really reminds me of the old school Rimmel pressed powders, which is something I love about it as I love that smell!! All in all I give this product a 5 out of 5. The powder goes on really smoothly and gives a really nice even coverage. The smell of it is just divine and it lasts all night! I did a full night on canal street yesterday in it and it stayed the whole time! To check out the other products in the range  click here :) Thanks for reading guys, if there are any products you would li

Cut Crease Eye Make Up

Image
Hi Guys! It is my birthday on Monday so for my celebratory night out I am hitting Canal Street in Manchester with my friends for amazing cocktails and a good boogie! Now for such a fabulous night out I need some fabulous make up! I decided that I was going to try a cut crease eyeshadow look with lots of glitter. This was my practice run so it is a little rough, but I am really happy with the results :) What I used:  I <3 MakeUp Eye Primer in "Stay Don't Stray, I <3 MakeUp I <3 Sin Pallet, Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Paint in "Mercury Silver", Collection Fast Stroke Eyeliner in "Black", Collection 2000 Glam Glitter Wand in "A-list" and Make Up Gallery Plump Up The Volume Mascara.                                        First I primed my eyes with eye primer, Then covered the whole of my eye in ""Do It For Me" (1), and blended "Once An Angel" (2) just below my brow down to the crease of my e

What's In My Make Up Bag?

Image
Hi Guys! Today I am going to be showing you what is in my staple make up bag :D Now my make up collection is HUGE! It spans over two bags and an Ikea drawer unit, so I am just going to show you my make up that I use every day, otherwise we would be here for years lol! Face Hemp Face Protector from The Body Shop. This moisturiser is amazing! I use it everyday,  especially in the winter, as I am so prone to dry skin around my T-zone and nose and this sorts it out straight away. It is really thick and the smell is just gorgeous. Rimmel Clean Finish Foundation. This foundation is just brilliant, it goes on really smoothly when applied with a sponge, and covers all my blemishes. I just use the spatula to apply the product to the back of my hand and then use a sponge applicator. Make Up Tips and Tricks.

Image
Hi Guys! Pintrest, Twitter, Tumblr etc are all full of beauty tips and tricks that claim to make your life easier, but how many of them actually work? I have compiled a list of hints and tips that I have actually tried myself, and found really effective! Jordan's Top 10 Beauty Hacks 1. If you accidentally purchase a foundation that’s too dark, adding a bit of moisturizer to your mix can help lighten it. 2.  Prime your eyes with white eyeliner or eyeshadow to really make your colorful shadows and liners stand out. 3. If you want longer lashes without extensions, add baby powder to your lash routine.  Simply use a cotton swab to dab on baby powder in between mascara applications and you’ll have longer, thicker lashes :) 4. Turn any eyeliner pencil into super-intense gel liner. hold your kohl pencil over a flame  (lighter,  stove top etc)  for 1 second  then leave to cool for 15 seconds and voila, a dark gel eyeliner that will last all day. 5. Eyeliner - Make Up Gallery

Image
Hi Guys!! Today I am going to be doing another Make Up Gallery product review, this time I am going to be looking at their selection of eyeliners. You can choose between Pro Liquid Eyeliner or Kohl Me Beautiful which is a pencil. Pro Liquid Eyeliner. The Pro Liquid Eyeliner comes in a small black pot (I would hesitate a guess at 2.5ml but the bottle doesn't say) and has a use by date if 6m. There are 4 colours to choose from, Black, Blue, Brown and Grey. The liner is a really nice solid black and goes on easily. The applicator is a small brush and whereas usually I would chose an eyeliner with a sponge applicator (e.g. collection 2000 eyeliner) this one is fabulous quality and fairly easy to apply. It was easy to create a cats eye flick with this eyeliner however I found it slightly difficult to extend your eyeliner right into the corner of my eye as I struggle with brush applicators. All in all I give this product a 4 out of 5. The colour i

Get Ready With Me - A Day In The Office :)

Image
Hi Guys!  I am off to work in an office today as a favour to my Mum, so I thought I would walk you through my look :)  This is the look I am rocking today, and these are the products I used. First off I used my Hide & Chic concealer to prime my eyes before my eyeshadow (please excuse the wild hair and my pug onesie, they will be sorted later lol). Next I used Famous by Sue Moxely in shade 3 (a light shimmery brown) eyeshadow on the inner corner of my eye.  I then applied Dark brown bourjois eyeshadow onto the outer corner of my eye and blended it into the centre of my eye.  Next I applied W7 eyeshadow in Burnt Plum to the centre of my eye to blend the outer and inner corner of my eyeshadow together.  I then applied my concealer under my eye and my foundation all over my face.  Next I applied a strong line of liquid eyeliner to my eyelash line and 2 coats of mascara.  I finished my look off by lining my water line w

Pretty for a £1

Image
Hi Guys! This is the first post from a new series I am starting called Pretty for a £1! I know I harp on about Poundland products, but they dont just sell their own brands, they have a whole rack of branded make up that has just been repackaged! I have 4 pound shops near me (2 Poundlands, Pound World and 99p Store) that all have these racks and I regularly go in there to find new make up, as you can find big brand names like Barry M, Rimmel, CK, Famous etc.  So, here is what I have found this time :D Poundland. Famous by Sue Moxely eyeshadow in Shade 3. A really pretty yet subtle bronze shade, takes 2 coats to fully bring out the colour but this is a really pretty eyeshadow. Famous by Sue Moxely Trio Eye Collection in Rain Forest 3 really vibrant colours in a pallet, the colours come out nice and strong and are easily blended into each other. L'oreal Paris Color Infallible in Coconut Shake. A pale eyeshadow that makes a brillia
